I'm A Celebrity: New Contestants Andrew Whyment And Cliff Parisi Tipped To Join Line-Up

The soap actors will reportedly join existing celebs Caitlyn Jenner, Ian Wright and Kate Garraway later this week.

While the new I’m A Celebrity campmates get settled into jungle life, producers are planning to throw in some surprise extra additions later this week.

As has become tradition, the camp will welcome two new stars in the coming days, and soap fans will recognise both of them.

According to The Sun, Coronation Street actor Andrew Whyment will be the first, having been initially on a leaked list of this year’s line-up which was published the week before it launched.

Andrew is best known for playing Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap, but has also appeared on reality shows Dancing On Ice and Soapstar Superstar, the latter of which he won.

The tabloid also claimed that EastEnders star Cliff Parisi will be joining Andrew in the jungle.

Cliff appeared in EastEnders for eight years as Minty Peterson, a role he stepped down from in 2010.

After a short stint in Hollyoaks, Cliff then joined the cast of BBC period drama Call The Midwife in 2012, playing Fred Buckle.

I’m A Celebrity returned to our screens on Sunday night, and it was very much business as usual, with the 10 new contestants being put through their paces in challenges that involved sky-diving, canoeing and... rummaging through a box full of insects.

The launch episode delivered some brilliant moments, including Caitlyn Jenner guiding Nadine Coyle as they prepared to jump out of a plane, as well as Kate Garraway and Jacqueline Josssa taking on an endurance test as they stood on planks 334 feet in the air.

Ant and Dec were also on form, cracking jokes about Caitlyn’s rumoured fee, Ant’s absence from the show last year and even Prince Andrew’s already-infamous BBC interview.

I’m A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV.
