Whaddup, FoodTubers! Here's a little bit of what we've been up to...

On Friday the 16 May we celebrated the almighty Food Revolution Day 2014 with a live show on Food Tube and a Guinness World Record. Casual.

The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and we awoke to the exciting news that our friends at Woolworths in Australia (the supermarket, not the defunct UK discount store) had smashed the world record for the biggest cooking lesson in one venue, with just over 2,000 kids cooking the Rainbow Salad Wrap along with Jamie.

Then came the live show. Organised chaos ensued as Jamie, Aaron Craze, Cupcake Jemma, John Quilter (aka the Food Busker) and Michaela Chiappa beamed into over 9,200 schools around the world, via tes, to celebrate cooking great food from scratch, together. Missed it? Fear not...

With Amber Kelley in the USA, Tobie Puttock in Oz, Felicitas in Argentina and Kerryann, Gennaro, Barry & co here in the UK, the Food Rev flag was flying across the world! Over 9,121 events were held in 121 countries (that's over 60% of the globe) and what did Mr Oliver have to say about it? "I've made a commitment to lower childhood obesity by 5% in five years. We can all play our part. Mr Gove (Education Secretary) has put the UK on the right track and now it's up to the teachers, who I know are really put upon. But I think they're going to smash it. And the kids here today have enjoyed it, and that's what it's all about."

They say never work with children but our talented Food Tube family showed us just how much fun cooking with the kids is with some easy-peasy family recipes to get your teeth into!

Barry Lewis from My Virgin Kitchen had a giggle with his youngest daughter Chloe, showing how even the littlest monsters can cook.

Our Italian Stallion Gennaro Contaldo, steps out of the spotlight to let his lovely daughters cook taste-tastic tomato spaghetti (that's right, even Italian cooking can be simple)! Watch out Gennaro, these girls are good... you could be out of a job!

Kerryann and her cheeky clan showed you fabulous salmon fish cakes, full of great stuff and disguised by kid-friendly flavours - they'll be eating their omegas and their five-a-day in no time, folks!

Now the sun has set on another incredible Food Revolution Day, and the global buzz begins to quiet, we leave you with huge heartfelt thanks from us and, of course, Jamie. Until next year, viva la revolution!
