'Strictly Come Dancing': Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray's Mum Judy To Dance In Next Series?

Judy Murray In 'Advanced Stages' Of Talks For 'Strictly'?

Andy Murray might be about to take centre stage as Wimbledon kicks off this week, but it sounds like his mum Judy Murray might be about to steal his spotlight later this year by taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

Reports are claiming that Judy is in the “advanced stages” of talks to sign up for the next series of the BBC dancing show, having made no secret of the fact she was a fan of the show in the past by posting her own commentary about celebrities’ performances.

After being spotted in the stands supporting her tennis player son during Wimbledon, Judy has become something of a minor celebrity in her own right, and has visited the ‘Strictly’ studios many times in the past, never shying away from admitting her admiration for the male dancers, in particular Artem Chigvintsev.

Judy is just one of several celebrities linked to a place in the forthcoming series of ‘Strictly’, which - for the first time - won’t be hosted by Bruce Forsyth, after he stepped down as presenter earlier this year.

Instead, former ‘It Takes Two’ presenter Claudia Winkleman will co-present the show with Tess Daly, making them the first female presenting duo of a Saturday night prime time show in the UK.
