Vicky Pattison Addresses So-Called 'Gurning' Video: 'I've Always Done Jaw Movements'

Vicky Pattison has responded to a video clip which went viral last week, which some suggested showed her “gurning” during an appearance on ‘The Xtra Factor’.

Last weekend, the reigning ‘I’m A Celebrity’ champion appeared on the ITV2 show, to be interviewed by Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmondson.

Shortly after the appearance, though, several media outlets reported that viewers on social media had “expressed concern” for Vicky, due to her facial movements during the chat.

She’s now set the record straight, telling OK! Magazine that fans have nothing to worry about.

Vicky says: “My jaw movement is something that I’ve always done. I did it in the jungle and I got stick for it. It gets worse when I drink and I didn’t drink once in the jungle, yet people were still questioning it.”

Indeed, during her time in the most recent series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, some viewers noted similar facial movements, which even sparked speculation of drug use.

She hit back at this back in February, though, insisting: “I couldn’t even get a Mars bar in there, so what makes people think I could get drugs? It’s ridiculous!

“I grind my teeth and have done since I was a kid... It’s something I’ve always done when I’m stressed. It must have looked odd, but for me it’s normal.”

A year on from being crowned Queen Of The Jungle, Vicky will be heading back Down Under later this month, to front new ITV2 spin-off show ‘I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp’, with fellow former champs Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, as well as comedian Chris Ramsey.
