In another move to bring some fresh blood to ‘The X Factor’, Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to bring YouTube vlogger Zoella in as the new face of spin-off show, ‘The Xtra Factor’.

‘Xtra Factor’ was most recently hosted by Sarah-Jane Crawford, who, it was confirmed earlier this month, won't be back for this year’s series.

It’s now claimed that bosses are hoping to have Zoella - real name Zoe Sugg - front the ITV2 show, to help “shake up” the singing competition.

“Simon wants ideas that are different and is really thinking outside the box when it comes to shaking up the show.”

After gaining an avid fanbase online over the past few years - accruing over eight million followers on her YouTube channel - Zoella is now stepping out and trying other ventures.

In addition to her recently-published novel, which faced a backlash when it emerged it was ghost-written, she recently tried her hand at TV, appearing on the celebrity version of ‘Great British Bake Off’.

Other names to have been linked with the ‘Xtra Factor’ job include former ‘Big Brother’ presenter Brian Dowling and fellow YouTube star Jim Chapman.

There's no word yet on whether Simon is interested in bringing back Konnie Huq, though...

Despite her inability to spell the word 'Addictiv', Fleur East of Addictiv Ladies later returned to 'The X Factor' nine years later as a solo artist. So, yes, that's why she looks so familiar... (credit:Rex/Ken McKay)

We're guessing a similar thought process went into naming 4Sure to naming 4Tune... (credit:Rex/Ken McKay)
Little Mix (Series 8)(04 of10)

A name derived from the fact that Tulisa used to refer to them as her "little muffins".To us, they'll always just be Rhytmix. Still, the name has hardly held them back so far, has it? (credit:Rex/Ken McKay/Talkback Thames)
Stereo Kicks (Series 11)(05 of10)

This is what happened when you draw two unrelated 'youth-based' terms out of a hat and name your band whatever comes out. Stereo Kicks could just as easily have been called 'Selfie Twerk' or 'Hollyoaks Software Update'. (credit:Thames TV/Syco/Corbis)

A nice enough band name, it's just unfortunate that it's also the name of an Eastern European gay adult film company, isn't it? (credit:Rex/Ken McKay/Talkback Thames)
