Cheat Episode 3 Delivers 1 Huge Answer, But 8 More Burning Questions

Things have really started hotting up.

Finally, some answers!

The third episode of ITV’s latest psychological drama, Cheat, rewarded fans for their patience over the previous two nights, as the true intentions of twisted uni student Rose were unveiled.

Now, we hate to brag, but we had a hunch about Leah’s dad from the off, and sure enough, we were right to be suspicious, as it was revealed Rose was actually the result of an affair between her mum and Leah’s dad, Michael.

He had known about Rose’s existence for a few years, and after she began harassing him, leading him to threaten her with police action, she had turned her attentions to Leah in an attempt to get to him.

While this part of the story has (seemingly) been wrapped up, there’s still plenty of unanswered questions, as Adam finally met his maker at the end of the episode...

Did Adam actually delete the picture of Rose on his phone?

If he hasn’t, it could prove to be a vital piece of evidence later down the line.

Will Leah keep the baby?

Shortly after Leah was sent Adam’s dick pic, she discovered she was pregnant. But with their relationship now on the rocks, will she decide to keep it?

Why does Rose hate her auntie Pam so much?

What has this mystery relative done that is seemingly so bad? We know it has something to do with Rose’s and her own mother, but as of yet, we can’t work this one out.

Will Leah lose her job?

Her appraisal didn’t go as well as she had hoped it would, with talks about her contract being made permanent delayed due to the situation with Rose – so will she lose her job as well as her husband?

Who does the university give students such easy access to the roof?

Clearly health and safety is not high up on their list of priorities.

Why is Adam such a jerk?

And why does he keep his socks on during sex? Rank.

Who did kill Adam?

It would be the most plausible theory that Rose killed him in self-defence after he tried to strangle her, but later flashbacks revealed that Leah had also arrived back at the house – and she looked a lot less panicked than she was making out to the police.

There’s also an hour of the night in which where her movements are unaccounted for – could she be responsible? Or could a newfound sisterly bond between Leah and Rose have seen them finish him off together?

Who goes down for Adam’s murder?

Yes, we’ve asked this question already, after the flash forward in the first episode revealed one of them is in prison, but after Adam’s murder, we’re even more desperate to know who’s been blamed and, indeed, why the women were meeting in the first place.

Cheat concludes on Thursday at 9pm on ITV.
