First Look! Meet This Year's 'Bake Off' Contestants

The BBC have introduced the 2014 ‘Great British Bake Off’ contestants, who will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner Frances Quinn.

The fifth series of the baking contestant, judged by Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, kicks off on Wednesday 6 August on BBC1. Once again, Mel and Sue will be back to present the show.

This year's batch of bakers are a typically eclectic bunch and this year the 'Bake Off' tent will play host to its youngest and oldest contestants ever.

At 17, Martha is the show’s youngest ever baker, and is currently studying for her A-Levels, with the aim of becoming a food scientist.

Other contestants include Iain, whose passion for travel is set to inspire his creations and 69-year-old Martha, who - as a former WI judge - could be giving Mary Berry a run for her money.
