The Spandau Ballet singer came under fire from Vicky Pattison, when he claimed that the female contestants might be better off doing the laundry than the men.

After Brian Friedman noted that Duncan Bannatyne was rubbish at doing the washing, noting that his clothes came back “smelling like cockroaches and vomit”, Tony remarked: “Duncan is not a bloke you can imagine down the creek doing the washing.”

He then raised eyebrows from some critics when he argued: “If I’m honest, and I’m not being funny but two ladies would be much better than Duncan.”

Vicky, who ‘Geordie Shore’ fans will know is never one to shy away from saying what’s on her mind, was clearly irritated by the comments, venting her frustrations away from the rest of her campmates.

She said: “So Tony has announced that women are better at laundry and doing the washing than men are... there’s me thinking I’m in the jungle, not some time machine!”

‘I’m A Celebrity’ suffered a huge blow this weekend, when Spencer Matthews was forced to bow out of the show, just days after arriving in the jungle.

He later revealed that a reliance on steroids was the cause of his exit, with reports now claiming that his management are keen for him to go to rehab.

‘I’m A Celebrity’ continues on Monday night at 9pm on ITV.

More TV gold was created when Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell took part in the Hell Hole challenge in 2004. Sadly all traces of the video of him shrieking and squealing like a teenage girl appear to have mysteriously disappeared, but we still think this pic does the job nicely. (credit:Rex)
