It seems Simon Cowell is one of the few people on the planet who isn't a fan of 'The Great British Bake Off', after the music mogul blasted the hit BBC baking show.

And we're sure it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that the latest series of 'Bake Off' pulled in four million more viewers than 'The X Factor'.

Speaking at the Mipcom TV programming conference in Cannes, Simon is reported as saying: "My belief is it's more exciting to see someone like Leona Lewis win and sing a fantastic song, than looking at a chocolate eclair at the end of the show."

Well, millions would disagree, Simon, after an average of 12.3 million viewers tuned in to see Nancy Birtwhistle crowned the winner of this year's 'Bake Off', making it the most watched non-sporting TV show of the year.

Meanwhile, 'X Factor' has been attracting around 8.5 million viewers for the latest series.

Simon also appears to have forgotten that he launched his own (failed) version of 'Bake Off' last year. Remember 'Food Glorious Food'? Thought not.

Meanwhile, Simon reckons he’s got a lot to thank George Clooney for, after the now-married Hollywood star left him as the world’s only 'iconic bachelor' (his words).

“I'm the only iconic bachelor left in the entire world - thanks for that George Clooney,” he tells Hello! magazine. “I think it's a title I'll keep for a while longer if I'm honest.

“I've never said no to marriage but then again I couldn't imagine having a kid at one point and now look at me.”

We met Simon's girlfriend and baby mama, Lauren Silverman, is overjoyed to hear those words!
