They faced Lee Ryan and Nadiya Bychkova in the dance off, and the surviving couple will undoubtedly be hoping to avoid history repeating itself again.

Last week’s leaderboard was somewhat predictable, with popstars Ashley Roberts and Faye Tozer landing at the top - but can anyone dethrone them with a dazzling Movie Week performance?

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.

When the 2015 contestants were first announced, no one would have tipped Jay for victory, particularly after he continuously played down his dancing abilities.
