‘Top Gear’ Spin-Off ‘Extra Gear’ Announced For BBC Three

'Giving viewers a different perspective on some of the coolest cars on the planet.'

‘Top Gear’ bosses have announced a new spin-off show, which will accompany the long-awaited new series of the motoring programme.

Rory Reid, who is part of the main show’s mammoth presenting team will front 'Extra Gear', set to debut on BBC Three next month.

The show will begin when ‘Top Gear’ returns to its regular BBC Two slot at the end of May, airing on Sunday nights.

Rory has shared his excitement ahead of ‘Extra Gear’, which will give fans a glimpse behind the scenes, stating: "I'm looking forward to showing them how the show is made and what goes on behind the scenes, giving viewers a different perspective on some of the coolest cars on the planet."

The new presenting team, led by Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc, assembled earlier this year, to begin filming scenes.

Sadly, reports have suggested that things aren’t going smoothly, and Chris has reportedly been labelled “more volatile” than Jeremy Clarkson, which doesn’t exactly bode well.

Meanwhile, Jeremy and co. are busy preparing for their Amazon Prime debut, and although filming has begun, they're still yet to pick a name for the show
