Johnny Depp And Amber Heard Reach Divorce Settlement

'Neither party has lied nor made false accusations for financial gain.'

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have reached a settlement, following one of the most high-profile celebrity divorce cases of recent times.

In a joint statement issued to the MailOnline on Tuesday (16 August), the former couple explain: “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love.

After 15 months of marriage, Amber filed for divorce from Johnny in May of this year, citing “irreconcilable differences” at the time.

A temporary restraining order followed shortly afterwards, as did accusations from the actress that he had been physically violent towards her throughout their relationship.

The news of their settlement - which MailOnline also claims will see Amber awarded $10 million (£7.6 million) - comes just a day after allegations that the ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ actor accidentally cut off the tip of his finger during a heated row. A picture of the injury was also published on TMZ.

According to Amber, the actor then proceeded to dip his wounded finger into some dark blue paint, and scrawled a message accusing her of being unfaithful with her co-star, Billy Bob Thornton on a mirror.

She has profusely denied her ex-husband’s accusations of infidelity.

The two met in 2012 on the set of the film ‘The Rum Diaries’, in which they both starred, and married in February 2015.
