Bill Bailey And Oti Mabuse's Strictly Come Dancing Routine Just Got A Big Thumbs Up From Actual Janet Jackson

Praise indeed.

Bill Bailey already has plenty of fans from his Strictly Come Dancing stint, but it seems he is just as popular with A-listers too.

The comedian and his partner Oti Mabuse have got the seal of approval from none other than Janet Jackson

Yes, it appears actual Janet (Miss Jackson if you’re nasty) watches Strictly.

The singer gave Bill’s latest dance – a Street/Commercial routine to Rapper’s Delight by The Sugarhill Gang – the thumbs up on Twitter, after it was pointed out it had a lot of stylings from Janet’s music video for her hit Alright.

Tweeting a clip of it on Friday, Janet complimented Bill and Oti, writing: “Nice! #GoinIN,” adding a flame emoji and tagging the couple.

Check out Janet’s video for Alright below...

Of course, Janet wasn’t the only fan of Bill and Oti’s routine, as the Strictly judges scored them 27 points out of a possible 30, with Shirley Ballas even whipping out her 10 paddle

Craig has since named him as the one to watch in this year’s competition.

“I am secretly actually loving Bill Bailey,” he told ITV’s Lorraine. “I adore him. He just shocks me.

“Every time I see him dance, I am surprised, amazed and delighted. I never thought for one moment he would be able to do it. He doesn’t look like the type or the type of character… I love him, I would love to see him in the final.”

“I think he is brilliant, the dark horse of the competition,” he added.

This week will see Bill and Oti performing an American Smooth to I’ve Got You Under My Skin by Frank Sinatra.

Find out how they get on when Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.15pm on BBC One.

When the 2015 contestants were first announced, no one would have tipped Jay for victory, particularly after he continuously played down his dancing abilities.

Cut to a couple of months later, though, and that Glitter-ball trophy was his.
