Courteney Cox Gets Friends Fans Misty-Eyed With Behind-The-Scenes Snap From Finale Episode

The actress shared the never-before-seen photo of herself and the rest of the cast on Instagram.

Courteney Cox got Friends fans in the nostalgic mood with a throwback photo from behind the scenes of the final episode.

The actress – who played Monica for 10 series of the hit sitcom – posted the picture on Instagram, showing herself and the other five members of the key cast enjoying a “last supper” before taping the emotional finale.

She wrote: “‘The Last Supper’ before taping ‘The Last One’ on Jan 23, 2004.”

Alongside thousands of misty-eyed Friends fans in the comments were Courteney’s co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, who both posted messages in response to the photo.

Friends came to an end more than 15 years ago, but it’s still as popular as ever, having garnered a new generation of fans when it began streaming on Netflix.

The show has recently been at the centre of reunion rumours, after Jennifer Aniston teased that she and the rest of the cast were “working on something”, but refused to offer any more information.

This came after the star posted a much-publicised shot of herself and the rest of the cast in her first ever Instagram post, marking the first time all six Friends stars had been seen together since the show came to an end in 2004.

It’s since been claimed the reunion in question could be a behind-the-scenes look back at the show, which all six cast members would appear in.

The cast of Friends had always maintained that they wouldn’t want to revisit the classic sitcom characters, including Lisa Kudrow, who branded the idea “sad” in a 2018 interview.

Sadly, Susan was never seen past the sixth series of Friends, which is a real shame as we loved her long-standing frosty relationship with Ross.

As Chandler's brief time living with Eddie grew to a close, he became an even more odd creation, but it would have been great if the writers had cranked things up another notch with his strangeness, or at the very least showed us what happened when he was shown the door.

It's always great when one of the characters' family members arrive, because they remind you of how they used to be – and that's never more true than when Rachel's sister Amy arrives on the scene.

Joey was the character who went on to end up with his own spin-off, but we think it definitely should have been Frank and Alice.

...conversely, by the time Erica arrives in the tenth season, her youthful naivety proves just how far the six principal characters have come.
