'Father Ted' Star Frank Kelly Dies, Aged 77

Frank Kelly has died at the age of 77, it has been confirmed by multiple Irish news outlets.
The death of the actor, who is best known for his performance as Father Jack in the comedy 'Father Ted', has been announced on the anniversary of the passing of his co-star Dermot Morgan, who died in 1998.

The cause of death has not been confirmed.
Many TV fans will recognise Frank from 'Father Ted', in which he played the foul-mouthed, drink-loving Fr. Jack, between 1995 and 1998.
His other roles included a star turn in the movie version of 'Mrs Brown's Boys', and he also joined the 'Emmerdale' cast in 2010, playing Dermot Macey.

In October 2015, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, telling the Irish Sun: "I've been working as an actor for over 50 years, and a shaky hand won't stop me. I remain open to offers for work on stage and screen. I'm quite available and my mobile is always on."
"I'm not going to let Parkinson's beat me. I'm just not that kind of person."
