Stars such as Sir Ian McKellen, Harry Styles, Tom Daley and Sam Smith have reacted with delight to the news that America has fully legalised gay marriage.

The Supreme Court announced the same-sex couples now have the legal right to marry anywhere in the US on Friday (26 June), in what President Barack Obama hailed as "a victory for America".
