'Homeland' Creator Wants Robin Williams For Cameo - Is He Right For The Show?

Robin Williams For 'Homeland'?

Robin Williams could be set for a role in his favourite TV show Homeland as the developers have discussed writing a role especially for the funnyman.

The thriller, starring Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, proved a hit when it debuted last year, and the second series is currently being screened.

Howard Gordon, who developed the show with Alex Gansa, reveals they are constantly brainstorming ideas for the drama - and they are considering Williams for a role after learning he is a fan.

Gordon tells Britain's Daily Mail Weekend magazine, "Robin loves the show and we talked about the possibility of him appearing on it. How that'll pan out, though, we don't know yet. We heard Mick Jagger was a fan too."
