Kerry Katona Tests Positive For Covid-19: 'I've Never Felt So Poorly'

“For all those who don’t think Covid is real, think again!!!” the "heartbroken" reality star told her Instagram followers.

Kerry Katona has revealed she has contracted Covid-19.

In updates posted to her Instagram story on Friday, Kerry said that she and her fiancé Ryan Mahoney had both fallen ill in recent days.

Posting a photo of herself looking glum, Kerry told her fans she was still waiting on the results of a coronavirus test, and was “praying we all just have flu”.

An hour later, she confirmed that her Covid-19 test had come back positive.

The reality star and former Atomic Kitten singer said she’d “never felt so poorly”, writing: “Both Ryan and I are held up in the bedroom. My poor children. I honestly don’t know what to do.”

She added: “For all those who don’t think Covid is real, think again!!!”

“Absolutely heartbroken! Sending love and light to all those affected,” she later wrote.

A number of Kerry’s celebrity friends sent her well wishes in her Instagram comments, including former Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba, who wrote: “Get better soon. It’s awful but it will pass. Sending lots of love and strength.”

Blue star Antony Costa sent Kerry some heart emojis, while singer Peter Andre told her to “get well soon”.

Throughout the pandemic, a number of public figures have contracted coronavirus and spoken candidly about their experiences of the illness.

Oscar-winning star Tom Hanks was among the first, later admitting to feeling like a “canary in a coalmine” as there was so little information about Covid-19 at the time he had tested positive.

Former model Linda Lusardi said over the summer that she was still feeling the effects of the disease long after testing positive, while Hugh Grant shared his own Covid story during an interview on US television last month.
