'Love Island' 2017 Cast: Meet The New Contestants Looking For Love

Producers have outdone themselves with this bunch.
|

The new batch of contestants hoping to find themselves a summer romance in the upcoming series of ‘Love Island’ have been unveiled.

Eleven new faces have now been posted and among the five boys are a grafting groundskeeper hoping to get himself back in the dating game, a celeb hairdresser hoping to bag his first girlfriend and a former member of Blazin’ Squad.

Meanwhile, the girls include a glamour model who says she wants to settle down with the one, a bomb disposal worker who reportedly once shared a kiss with Prince Harry and a self-professed “posh girl” hoping to broaden her horizons.

Of course, as you might have worked out, this year’s series will kick off with an odd number of contestants, meaning one of the girls is in for a shock when they start pairing up at the beginning of the series.

Check out all the contestants below...

Olivia
ITV
Age?

Job?
Motorsport Grid Girl

She says:
"I’ve been told I’m funny. I’ve got quite an immature sense of humour, and I can be quite naughty.

"I try not to take any rubbish from anyone so I think boys end up saying ‘she’s a player’ because they’ve not had their way with me."

Have you seen her before?
Olivia says she's modelled for some fashion brands with "big followings" in the past.
Marcel
ITV
Age?

Job?
Music industry executive

He says:
"Girls love me... I've always got girls around me. I've always got a girl on the scene. I'm not a player but I do like to be single.

"I stay single because I don't want to break hearts but I do end up breaking them by mistake sometimes. It's quite hard."

Have you seen him before?
Marcel was once a member of Blazin' Squad, which he describes as "the best days" of his life.
Camilla
ITV
Age?
27

Job?
Explosive ordnance disposal (!!)

She says:
"I want to put my personal life first, for the first time in a long time, and give myself the opportunity to meet someone.

"['Love Island'] will also force me to break down some of the barriers that I have built up doing the work that I do. I can be a bit cold, and come across that way, but that’s because I’m quite independent and strong."

Have you seen her before?
Perhaps if you're a lacrosse fan - Camilla once competed in the junior world championships. However, back in the summer of 2014 she was also linked with Prince Harry after the two reportedly shared a snog at an event.
Harley
ITV
Age?

Job?
Groundsworker

He says:
"People would say [my love life is] non-existent and I’m married to the gym. I’ve not been out for ages, I’ve been having some me time.

"The show is an opportunity to put myself out there, let loose and get my mojo back."
Chloe
ITV
Age?
22

Job?
Executive assistant

She says:
"Boys in Essex - come on! They're not great. I want to be loved up but they're just pigs. I'm ready and willing to meet someone nice. A lot of them just want about ten girlfriends at a time.

"Come on - you can't go out with ten girls at once! That's not on."
Kem
ITV
Age?
21

Job?
Hairdresser

He says:
"I wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm all in or out, nothing in between. I think I'm enjoyable to be with. I fall for girls very easily. It's been my downfall because I make it so obvious when I like a girl. I might get a bit clingy.

"I'm not normal and I think the people who make 'Love Island' know that, so I'm hoping they'll have found a girl who's not normal, who'll be a good match for me."

Have you seen him before?
As a hairdresser to the stars, he's worked with the boys from 'TOWIE', Spencer Matthews and Calum Best, among others.
Jessica
ITV
Age?

Job?
Glamour model

She says:
"I'm genuinely looking for love, I'm not going on it for any other reason. I want to find someone to settle down with.

"My friends are married and settling down with kids. I've looked everywhere and can't find him!"

Have you seen her before?
In addition to being a glamour model, Jessica says she's been chatted up by celebs in the past, joking: "Mostly reality stars - they're the same ones that message everybody!"
Dominic
ITV
Age?
26

Job?
Careers advisor

He says:
"I'm definitely not modest! They call me vain, and I do love myself a bit. I play on it, though. I'll go, 'I'm good-looking me, aren't I? Aren't you lucky to be with me?’

"I'm not just a pretty face! I've got the chat as well."
Amber
ITV
Age?
20

Job?
Dancer

She says:
"I think I’m very down to earth. I have been brought up so well. I don’t cause trouble for no reason. I’m not fake, I’m very real and that’s what all my friends like about me.

"I’m a bit of a dating queen. I love to date. The key thing for me is finding humour. We need to have a good laugh, the chemistry will happen if we’re laughing."

Have you seen her before?
Amber claims to have slept with a "big name" but won't disclose her, commenting: "Girls don't kiss and tell!"
Sam
ITV
Age?
21

Job?
Oil rig worker

He says:
"I'm a serial dater. My attention span's not that good so to be honest, I generally only manage one date with a girl, or two at a push. I get bored easily.

"And if I decide I'm not interested, I just ignore their texts. I know that's a bit mean. I like a bit of a chase, you see. I do alright with girls. If I want it, I get it."
Montana
ITV
Age?
21

Job?
Economics student

She says:
"I think people would probably call me quite posh! I will admit I've been brought up well and I've been really lucky to go a private school. I'm lucky to have had good opportunities in my life.

"I want to meet someone who will broaden my horizons a little bit... I'm not really exposed to people from all over the UK. I don't go to raves that much so I don't really meet anyone from outside Hertfordshire!"

Have you seen her before?
In the past, she's dated both rugby players and pro footballers.

’Love Island’ kicks off on Monday 5 June at 9pm on ITV2.

20 Reality TV Couples
Chloe Jasmine and Stevi Ritchie ('The X Factor')(01 of20)
Open Image Modal
Chloe and Stevi first met while sharing a house together, during the 2014 series of 'The X Factor'.

Although they briefly split up when the series was still on the air, they rekindled their romance before long, going on to become 'Celebrity Big Brother' housemates, and appear in a series of totally-natural and not-staged photo sets, just like this one.

Katie Price and Peter Andre ('I'm A Celebrity')(02 of20)

The third series of 'I'm A Celebrity' - otherwise known as 'the one where it really started to get good' - kicked off in 2004, and sparked one of the UK's biggest celebrity pairings of the 21st century.

Off the back of 'I'm A Celeb', Katie and Peter were omnipresent for years, with reality shows, fragrances and yes, even an ill-advised album to their name. They split in 2009, and recently reconciled, after a feud which lasted more than five years.

Helen Adams and Paul Clarke ('Big Brother')(03 of20)

The first real love story of 'Big Brother', Helen and Paul first met on the reality show's second series in 2001, eventually staying together for five years.

Here they are with Lorraine Kelly, the lucky ducks.

Ben Cohen and Kristina Rihanoff ('Strictly Come Dancing')(04 of20)

Among the most famous 'Strictly' curse victims, Ben split from his long-term partner shortly after being partnered with Kristina, though the two were insistent they didn't get together until long after the break-up.

When we're blowing out the candles on our birthday cake this year, we'll be wishing for a re-enactment of this exact photo, with us in place of Kristina.

Natasha Hamilton and Ritchie Neville ('The Big Reunion')(05 of20)

Rebecca Ferguson and Zayn Malik ('The X Factor')(07 of20)
Open Image Modal
Yeah, we'd forgotten about this one too, but shortly after the seventh series of 'X Factor' wrapped up in 2010, it was revealed that runner-up Rebecca Ferguson had been knocking boots with One Direction singer Zayn Malik.

Despite their seven-year age gap (Zayn was just 17 at the time), they stayed together for a number of months, with the 'Pillowtalk' singer eventually going on to date Stephanie Davis and Perrie Edwards.

Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev ('Strictly Come Dancing')(08 of20)

Another case of the 'Strictly' curse having a happy ending, Rachel revealed she and her husband were parting ways during her appearance on the BBC series in 2013.

She and Pasha announced 10 months later that they were an item.

Steven Goode and Kimberly Kisselovich ('Big Brother')(09 of20)
Open Image Modal
Who could forget Steven and Kimberly's romance, eh? NOT US, because the thought of him whispering "open it" to her in the 'BB' bedroom is still BURNED IN OUR MEMORIES for the rest of our days.

Steverly tied the knot a year after leaving the 'BB' house, but months later, it was reported that they had already split.

Stacey Solomon and Steve-O ('The Jump')(10 of20)
Open Image Modal
Sometimes reality TV can throw us a curveball, like when 'Jackass' prankster Steve-O and 'Driving Home For Christmas' warbler Stacey Solomon got together on 'The Jump'.

Sadly, they split the following summer, admitting they struggled with their long-distance relationship.

Tamera Foster and Sam Callahan ('The X Factor')(11 of20)
Open Image Modal
'The X Factor' might not seem the most likely place to find romance, but Tamera Foster and Sam Callahan made a good go of it after meeting during 2013's series.

However, they split up a year later.

Chantelle and Preston ('Celebrity Big Brother')(12 of20)
Open Image Modal
Theirs was the reality TV romance the whole country was rooting for. It had it all, drama (Preston had a girlfriend when they first met, meaning they dismissed their 'CBB' flirting at the time), romance (nothing sets the mood like George Galloway pretending to be a cat in the next room) and a few bumps in the road (remember when he stormed off 'Buzzcocks', though?).

Their highly-public split was followed a few years later by both of their arrivals in the 'Ultimate Big Brother' house, and while it looked like a reunion could be on the cards, it eventually never came to fruition.

Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice ('Strictly Come Dancing')(13 of20)

Seriously, there must be something in the water over at the 'Strictly' studios, with Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice the latest pairing to reveal that their relationship extends past the dance floor. (credit:Dave J Hogan via Getty Images)
Charlotte Crosby and Gaz Beadle ('Geordie Shore')(14 of20)

David Seaman and Frankie Poultney ('Dancing On Ice')(15 of20)

Now husband and wife, David and Frankie met when he swapped his football boots for ice skates for his appearance on 'Dancing On Ice'.

The two were partnered together, eventually revealing that they were an item.

Samia Ghadie and Sylvain Longchambon ('Dancing On Ice')(16 of20)

Slightly more scandalously was the union of 'Dancing On Ice' pair Sylvain Longchambon and Samia Ghadie, particularly as when they got together he was still dating Jennifer Metcalfe... who he'd been partnered with just two years prior. (credit:Barcroft Media via Getty Images)
Pete Bennett and Nikki Grahame ('Big Brother')(17 of20)
Open Image Modal
Arguably the most unlikely 'BB' couple ever, Pete and Nikki's romance was a nontheless endearing one, and we loved watching them grow close during their time in the house.

Sadly, in the months that followed, Nikki revealed that their relationship hadn't lasted in the outside world, admitting at the time: "I really hope that he didn't use me. I would like to think that he had genuine feelings for me but who knows? I don't know what to think."

Denise Van Outen and Lee Mead ('Any Dream Will Do')(18 of20)
Open Image Modal
Proving that reality TV romances aren't just for the contestants, 'Any Dream Will Do' judge Denise Van Outen surprised viewers when she revealed that she was in a relationship with the show's eventual winner, Lee Mead.

The pair were together for six years, even having a daughter in 2010, but announced they were going their separate ways in July 2013.

Grace Adams-Short and Mikey Dalton ('Big Brother')(19 of20)
Open Image Modal
The 'BB' couple that have managed to go the distance are also the ones who kept the lowest profile at the end of the show (funny that, isn't it?).

Grace and Mikey have been together since the end of their series in 2006, and have two children.

Sue and Alex Tatham ('Blind Date')(20 of20)
Open Image Modal
Proving that TV romances are nothing new, who could forget Sue and Alex Tatham, who tied the knot in 1991, after meeting on an episode of 'Blind Date'. Our Cilla even attended the wedding which, frankly, we're really jealous about. (credit:David Hartley/REX/Shutterstock)
