Sometimes it pays to have well-connected mates, as Simon Cowell's six 'X Factor' finalists found out during their trip to LA for the Judges' Houses round of the show.

Finalist Lizzy Pattinson just happens to be the sister of 'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson, and the siblings took the opportunity to meet up for a few sherries whilst they were both in Lala Land - and Lizzy invited her fellow 'Over 25s' contestants along to join the party.

After the six had finished a long day of auditioning for Simon and music legend Sinitta, the group hit the bars of Hollywood with their new (famous) friend who insisted on getting the rounds in.

According to The Sun, generous R-Patz wouldn't let any of the singing hopefuls - Lizzy, Fleur East, Ben Haenow, Jay James, Helen Fulthorpe and Stevi Ritchie — put their hand in their pockets to pay for drinks.

An insider told the paper: “Lizzy was really hoping she would get to meet up with her brother when she was out in LA, but he has such a hectic schedule.

“After their auditions on Saturday, he got in touch and wanted to take them all out. He bought them Jägerbombs and wouldn’t let them put their hands in their pocket all night.

“He spent a lot of time chatting to Fleur. Obviously he was really keen to catch up with Lizzy as well.

“It was one of the highlights of their trip.”

Earlier this week, Lizzy revealed that her A-list brother had been advising her over her song choices.

She said: “I sent Robert a link of the songs I’m doing at Judges’ Houses and he said, ‘That sounds really cool’.

“It was quite an obscure choice and he thought it was a really good song.”
