‘Sherlock’ Series 4: Benedict Cumberbatch And Martin Freeman Reunite In First Official Photo

Only, errrm, 4 months to go...

The first official snap from ‘Sherlock’ series four has been revealed, and it depicts Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman looking as mysterious as ever.

The cast have already finished filming the episodes but there’s a long wait ahead before they arrive on our screens, so this photo is all we have for now…

Savour it, people. Savour it.

The series is slated for release in January 2017, and fans got a sneak peek at it earlier this year, when a trailer was revealed at Comic-Con.

Speaking on a panel at the annual event, the ‘Sherlock’ cast also teased details of what we can expect with Amanda Abbington stating that the new series is “the darkest yet and a real emotional rollercoaster.”

“Things get resolved and there are evolving relationships,” co-creator Mark Gatiss added.

As always, exact plot details are being kept under wraps by BBC bosses, though one star may have let slip that their character is departing.
