Former The Wanted star Jay McGuiness has signed up for the upcoming series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The singer is the 10th celebrity to be confirmed for the 2015 series of the reality TV show, and the news was announced live on Radio 1.

Jay spoke to Matt Edmondson on the station’s afternoon show, explaining: “My family are such huge ‘Strictly’ fans, I know I've made them very happy by taking part - I can’t wait to get started!

“I love to dance but this is going to be so different from anything I have done before, I'm up for it!"

Boxer Anthony Ogogo will also be getting his dancing shoes on this year, along with Carol Kirkwood, ‘EastEnders’ actress Kellie Bright and Peter Andre.

Broadcaster Jeremy Vine, Ainsley Harriott, former ‘Corrie’ star Georgia May Foote and Katie Derham will also be swotting up on their moves and hoping to impress the judges.

With four celebrities still to be revealed, ‘Call The Midwife’ actress Helen George and Alan Titchmarsh are among the potential rumoured contestants.
