Look Who's Doing 'Strictly' After All...

After months of ‘will she/won’t she?’, the BBC have confirmed that Judy Murray will be foxtrotting onto the dance floor for the upcoming series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The tennis coach - and, of course, mum to former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray - had been heavily tipped to star in the celebrity dancing show when it returns to screens later this year, but she finally officially announced her place in this year’s lineup on Monday, tweeting a photo where she posed with a ‘Strictly’ scoring paddle and a tennis ball.

The long-time ‘Strictly’ fanatic said: “I'm a huge ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ fan but a total armchair dancer. It's going to be a big challenge for me and for whoever has to dance with me but I absolutely can't wait to get started!”

Judy has previously revealed that her tennis pro son was less than enthused about her plans to appear on ‘Strictly’, explaining: “It was on the front page of the papers during Wimbledon and Andy asked me about it.

“I said 'no' and he said, 'thank God for that, you would be absolutely terrible' which I would.”

Judy is the second star to be confirmed for this year’s series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, following the announcement last week that Frankie Sandford of The Saturdays will be taking part in the show this year.

Among the stars still rumoured to be on the line-up include former ‘TOWIE’ cast member Mark Wright, who has said that he’s been “in chats” with producers to appear on the series, though he’s adamant that his fiancée Michelle Keegan would not be joining him.
