Susanna Reid's BBC Breakfast Replacement Revealed

The new BBC Breakfast line-up has been announced and Louise Minchin will officially replace Susanna Reid as the Monday to Wednesday presenter, while journalist Naga Munchetty is also joining the team.

Louise has been presenting the show since Susanna defected to ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ and now the BBC have announced the full line-up.

Naga began her career as a financial journalist before switching to television and regularly appearing on BBC World News.

“I’m so happy to be joining such a successful, popular programme,” Naga said of the move. “It’s a real privilege to be on a team which is a big part of the morning routine for millions of viewers in the UK. I’m thrilled that I’ll have my own seat on that famous red sofa.”

Alongside her presenting and journalism commitments, Naga is a keen golfer, ran the London Marathon last year and has also won ‘Celebrity Mastermind’.

BBC Breakfast Editor Adam Bullimore said: “I’m really delighted Naga is joining the programme full time. She’s already a familiar face to our viewers and very popular with the team.

“She has bags of journalistic experience and personality and is a fantastic addition to our regular team of presenters.”

Naga Munchetty

Since April, Susanna has fronted ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ however the show’s ratings have been far from fantastic.

Despite the dwindling viewer count, ITV bosses have apparently insisted that they’re delighted with Susanna’s efforts.

While ‘Good Morning Britain’ has failed to impress viewers, BBC Breakfast continues to ride high when it comes to ratings, pulling in an average of 31.5% of TV viewers each day.

Louise and Bill Turnbull will present the show Monday to Wednesday while Naga and Charlie Stayt will front the programme from Thursday to Saturday.
