'We Live Separately But Together And Happily In The Same House'

Susanna Reid has spoken about living under the same roof as her ex-partner, Dominic Cotton, despite the fact he’s now in a new relationship.

It was announced earlier this year that Susanna and Dominic had decided to split up, after 16 years together, shortly after it was confirmed that she would be fronting the new reboot of ‘Good Morning Britain’ over on ITV.

However, while some couples would choose to go their separate ways at that point, Susanna and Dominic still live in the same house with their three sons, despite the fact that he is now dating somebody new.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine, she explains: “Dom is such a hands-on dad and we really co-parent. So we live separately but together and happily in the same house.

“I’m not saying everybody can do it [and] I definitely think people are surprised that we can do it this way.”

"I’m privileged to have a great relationship with my ex, to the point where we can live together comfortably and he can have a new relationship.”

However, while her ex may have moved on with somebody new, Susanna reckons it will be a while before she does the same, claiming she doesn’t have time for a new relationship.

The TV personality goes on to say: “We are running a house, I’ve got three kids, I’ve got a job that is a full-on commitment. At the moment that’s what I’m juggling.”

The news of the couple’s split first emerged when Dominic was spotted using a dating site, where he listed his relationship status as “separated”.

Susanna insists that she “didn’t have a problem” with him using the site after their split, adding: “We’d already split up, so he was entitled to join a site and start meeting new people. And I’m really happy he’s met a lovely woman.”
