Eurovision: BBC Pays Tribute To Terry Wogan During 'You Decide' BBC4 Broadcast

BBC Pays Tribute To Terry Wogan With Emotional Eurovision Montage
|

BBC4’s ‘Eurovision: You Decide’ broadcast included an emotional moment on Friday night (26 February), when presenter Mel Giedroyc introduced a tribute video to Terry Wogan.

The legendary broadcaster led the BBC’s coverage of Eurovision from 1971 to 2008, and his witty commentary and hilarious asides kept us entertained during many of the show’s most bizarre moments.

Terry Wogan

Introducing the montage of Terry’s best bits, Mel said: “Gone but never forgotten. His legacy and the love of Eurovision that he inspired in so many of us will live on.”

The show saw the UK's 2016 Eurovision entry picked by the public, and duo Joe And Jake were triumphant on the night, winning with their track 'You're Not Alone'.

They now have just short of three months to perfect their performance, before heading to Stockholm on 14 May.

This year, Eurovision bosses have made a series of changes to the way the votes are counted, which (hopefully...) means we won't end up with the dreaded nul points.

For the first time, the votes from the public and each country's jury will be counted and added up separately, meaning the board of judges can't overrule viewers at home.

Watch the video above (and have the tissues at the ready!)...
