The Apprentice’ is back on our screens later this month, and now we’ve finally been introduced to the contestants heading into Lord Sugar’s boardroom hoping to avoid hearing those famous two words: “You’re fired!”

To mark the show’s landmark tenth series, a whopping 20 candidates will be appearing before Sir Alan - and, of course, his returning advisors Karren Brady and Nick Hewer - to compete in a number of tasks to prove to him they have the business savvy and strategic thinking skills to bag themselves a £250,000 investment.

Ahead of next week’s series opener - which will launch in a double-bill, spread across two nights - here’s your chance to get to know the candidates that Lord Sugar will be putting to the test across the next 12 weeks.

As usual, the new contestants’ introductory statements let us know whether they’re taking the competition seriously (“I'm not in this process to make friends with people, I'm here to win”) or if they’re potentially just a bit deluded (“I think I am Alan Sugar when he was my age”).

Either way, it looks set to be yet another stonker of a series, and here are the contestants hoping to make a lasting impression on Lord Sugar…
