Adele Went As 'The Mask' For Halloween And It Was Scarily Realistic

We want an invite to her Halloween party next year.

Now the flurry around this year’s celebrity Halloween costumes has died down, Adele has shared a photo of herself celebrating the big night.

That said, you’d be hard pressed to recognise it’s her underneath all those prosthetics.

She treated fans to some snaps of herself in Dallas, Texas, where she stopped off on her ‘Adele Live 2016’ tour in full elaborate ‘The Mask’ attire.

We’re choosing to believe that her outfit was a nod to Ed Balls’ recent appearance in a similar outfit during Movies Week on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and we won’t have anyone telling us otherwise...

Adele’s costume was so effective it took us a long while to realise it was actually the ‘Someone Like You’ singer in the photos, until we clocked the ‘Angelo’ tattoo on her hand, that is.

Of course, Adele has proved herself a master of disguise several times in the past.

Last year, we were stunned when she showed off a photo of herself from her “musical heroes”-themed birthday party, during which she dressed up as none other than George Michael.

And after the release of her latest album, ‘25’, she even donned the guise of an Adele impersonator, who entered a contest against fellow tribute acts for her ‘Adele At The BBC’ TV special.

While Adele definitely wins our favourite celebrity Halloween costume of 2016, a few of her fellow stars did give her a run for her money.

David Walliams took a topical approach to his outfit for Jonathan Ross’s annual bash, when he arrived dressed as US presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, queen of Halloween Heidi Klum came up with another outside-the-box idea for her New York party, showing up as herself... with a host of Heidi clones in tow.
