One of the contestants due to enter the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house tonight (28 July) has been pulled from the line-up due to visa issues relating to her criminal record.

‘Bounty Hunter’ star Beth Chapman was expected to be among the famous faces on the new series of the Channel 5 reality show, but she will now not appear after being denied a visa to enter the UK.

The Sun has reported that it is to do with her criminal record, which is believed to date back to the late 1980s, when she was jailed for stealing lemons from a shop.

Beth also had a brush with the law in 2013, when she had a run-in with a group of teens in a Colorado park, and a warrant was issued for her arrest, citing misdemeanour harassment.

A teenage girl made a complaint about the star after she was rude to her, after Beth claimed she was driving too fast and too close to her and her children.

In Colorado, it is deemed to be a criminal act to taunt, challenge or use “coarse language” against another.

Beth’s husband and fellow ‘Bounty Hunter’ co-star Duane was due to enter the ‘CBB’ house in 2012, but was also forced to pull out when his criminal record meant he could not obtain a visa.

He served 18 months in prison back in the mid 1970s for his involvement in a Texas murder.

While Beth will not be part of this year’s line-up, others strongly rumoured to be entering the house include ‘Loose Women’ star Saira Khan, former ‘EastEnders’ actor Ricky Norwood, former page 3 model Samantha Fox, ‘X Factor’ contestant Katie Waissel, ‘Geordie Shore’ star Marnie Simpson, Mob Wives’ Renee Graziano, US singer and model Aubrey O’Day and ‘X Factor’ wannabe-turned-millionaire-business tycoon Chloe Khan.

TOWIE’ regular Lewis Bloor, national treasure Christopher Biggins, Arianna Grande’s brother Frankie, Anthea Turner’s ex-husband Grant Bovey and ‘Ex On The Beach’ hunk and Vicky Pattison’s ex, Stephen Bear, are also on the list of potential housemates.

‘Celebrity Big Brother’ begins on tonight (28 July) at 9pm on Channel 5.

Mark even appeared to have forgotten that he'd done 'CBB' himself, when - shortly after Take That's comeback - they said they were pleased none of them had done reality telly in their break. So that wasn't you winning 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2002, then, Mark? (credit:Rex/Philip Toscano)

Feminist commentator Germaine Greer lasted just five days in the 'CBB' house before walking, following the arrival of her housemate, Brigitte Nielsen's mother in law, Jackie Stallone. Why anyone would pass up the opportunity to spend any time with Jackie is beyond us, but we're sure Germaine had her reasons. He may be a big character, but H's stint in the house in 2007 was somewhat overshadowed by the racism controversy that surrounded the series that year.Apparently, being a 'Celebrity Big Brother' housemate also made H forget how to do his shirt up properly too. (credit:Rex/David Fisher)

Everyone remembers George Galloway's appearance on 'CBB' - largely thanks to one spandex suit, and one unforgettable cat impression - but he isn't the only Scottish politician to have been in the house. (credit:Rex)

She may be now known as a co-presenter on the 'Great British Bake Off', but one of Sue's lesser known accolades is her stint in the 'CBB' house back in 2002, when apparently camouflage-print cargo trousers were all the rage... (credit:Andy Butterton/PA Archive)

He started off the series as the favourite to win, but ultimately the former 'EastEnders' actor and Spandau Ballet guitarist's time in the 'CBB' house was surprisingly uneventful, and he finished in third place behind Colleen Nolan and Julian Clary. (credit:Ian West/PA Archive)

Hardman actor and ex-footballer Vinnie Jones spent four weeks shacked up in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house with Stephanie Beacham, 'The Thong Song' singer Sisqo and Alex Reid - a far cry from his A-list life on set with Ian McKellen, Brad Pitt and Halle Berry. (credit:Rex/Channel 4)

The highlight of Ivana's time in the house was when she'd been convinced as part of a task that she'd won a sought-after European award, only for her housemates to drink water out of it and, eventually, smash it. Jack Dee(10 of10)

He might prefer not to mention it now, but Jack Dee was the first ever winner of 'Celebrity Big Brother' back in 2001. The whole series might have only lasted eight days - a walk in the park compared to latter day runs - but even that was too much for Jack, who at one point famously tried to tunnel his way out of the house.
