Is Cheryl Hitching A Winning Wagon?

Cheryl Cole has reportedly turned to Video Games star Lana Del Rey for help with her music comeback.

The former X Factor judge is planning to release a song written by the 25-year-old newcomer in her latest bid to storm the charts, The Sun reports.

Cheryl is said to be a big fan of Lana, whose debut album Born To Die entered the UK charts at number one in the UK and number two in the US, and has asked the singer-songwriter for one of her unreleased tracks, to put her own stamp on.

The song 28-year-old Cheryl has picked is described as an "urban, mid-tempo ballad".

It is expected to be one of the first singles released from Cheryl's highly-anticipated third album, the follow-up to 2010's Messy Little Raindrops.

The Girls Aloud star is also said to have been collaborating with Rihanna, Taio Cruz and Usher on her new record.

Singer Cheryl recently tweeted amid rumours Simon Cowell had asked her to return to the UK X Factor panel: "X Factor was a great experience and time in my life and career but it is part of my past. Let's move on now."
