Tuesday night looks set to bring yet more action in the latest episode of ‘EastEnders’, as the Lucy Beale murder storyline takes another dramatic turn.

In the latest instalment of the London-based soap, we see troubled Rainie (Tanya Franks) make a return after two years away from Walford, where she meets Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) at his restaurant and suggests he has been ignoring her phone calls.

Rainie makes a shock return to 'EastEnders'

It later emerges that Rainie is the only person who is aware of exactly where Ian was on the night of his daughter Lucy’s murder, information which it turns out she has every intention of using to her advantage by blackmailing him.

However viewers are still left in the dark about where Ian was when Lucy was killed, meaning we still can’t rule him out as a suspect in the murder case… along with basically every other resident of Albert Square.

Rainie plans to blackmail Ian

‘EastEnders’ bosses decided to kill off Lucy in one of the soap’s most ambitious storylines ever, which will continue to unfold until her killer’s identity is eventually unveiled in 2015.

Very few people actually know who the murderer is, including the soap’s cast as producers have filmed as many as 15 potential endings to the storyline to stop any information leaking in the media.

Since his daughter’s death, audiences have seen Ian struggling with his grief, breaking down a number of times including a very public incident at her funeral.
