It’s been another busy year in soapland, and as always, plenty of stars have departed - and joined our favourite shows.

Where ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Emmerdale’ are concerned, there have been a series of surprise, mysterious arrivals, but ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ have also welcomed their fair share of newcomers.

2015 has also been the year of the TV comeback, as former regulars such as Kathy Beale, played by Gillian Taylforth, and Gemma Atkinson’s Carly Hope reappeared in our screens.

Finally, there were the celebrity cameos, some more successful than others. Sarah Harding, we’re looking at you.
