The ‘This Morning’ team have shared an exciting new trailer, ahead of Holly Willoughby’s return to the show.

For the past year, Holly has been on maternity, following the birth of her son, Chester, but when the ITV daytime show returns on 1 September, she’ll be back at the helm with Phillip Schofield.

Back together!

The new promo sees Phillip popping out for a coffee, and spotting a number of famous double acts, before his co-presenter makes her way into the shop.

The star has shared his excitement ahead of their on-screen reunion, revealing that the show has been given something a makeover.

“It’s an all-new look, Holly’s back, and we’ve got some brilliant ideas - things that we’ve not done before - and that’s quite hard to do for a show that’s been running for such a long time... we are really looking forward to September,” he said.

Holly’s also understandably delighted to be returning, and adds: “Working with Phil is wonderful, I count myself incredibly lucky. I’m so looking forward to getting back and sitting on that sofa, and being back with Phil.”

Holly has technically popped back to the ‘This Morning’ set already, as back in November 2014, she surprised Philip and Amanda Holden by stopping by during one of the show’s cookery segment.

Her temporary replacement Amanda Holden was a huge hit with viewers, and was given her very own emotional send-off in July.

Holly made an appearance in Mandy’s goodbye video, jokily telling the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ panellist: “Amanda, thank you so much for all your hard work, but now it is time for you to hand me back my silver fox.”

Fact: There is no video evidence on YouTube of Richard Madeley impersonating Ali G on the show in 2000. Coincidence? We think not. Luckily we've unearthed this non-moving image of him instead and it's still toe-curlingly cringy over a decade later. (credit:PA)

A career high for presenter Paul Ross came when he agreed to have a rectal examination on the show. Somehow, we can't see his brother, Jonathan, agreeing to some bloke sticking their finger up his bottom on live TV. (credit:ITV)
