'Emmerdale' Couple Chris Chittell And Lesley Dunlop Marry In Real Life

'Emmerdale' fans could be forgiven for thinking a massive plot twist is ahead for Brenda Walker and Eric Pollard after seeing these pictures - but it's actually the actors who play them who have just got hitched.

Real-life soap couple Chris Chittell and Lesley Dunlop married in a a Cornish village last Saturday (18 June).

The pair wed in front of family and friends at St Peter's Church in Coverack, and held their wedding reception at the nearby Paris Hotel.

Co-stars including Nicola Wheeler (Nicola King) and Bhasker Patel (Rishi Sharma) were also present to witness the nuptials. 

Lesley wore a simple cream gown with a flower headband on her big day, while Chris wore an open-necked pale blue shirt, and matching shoes.

The couple began dating soon after she joined the ITV soap in 2008, and announced their engagement last year. 

He was previously married for 26 years to Caroline Hunt before splitting in 2005, while she has two children from her relationship with actor Christopher Guard.

Speaking about their relationship in an interview with the Daily Record in 2012, Christopher: "I can’t even remember if I asked her for a date or she asked me but she is wonderful and we’re very happy.

"For some people, working together would be a nightmare but we love it. We make a point of not talking about 'Emmerdale' when we’re at home, though – that would be just too sad, wouldn’t it?"
