Gary Lineker Denies Danielle Bux Reunion Rumours As He Holidays With Ex-Wife | HuffPost

Gary Lineker has denied rumours that he has reunited with ex-wife Danielle Bux, after the pair were spotted on holiday together.

The ‘Match Of The Day’ host was pictured soaking up the sun with Danielle in Ibiza over the weekend, prompting speculation they may have gotten back together, having announced their split earlier this year.

However, Gary has now clarified the nature of their getaway on Twitter, insisting that they are just good friends.

He wrote on the social networking site: “More fabricated nonsense in press. @DanielleBux and I remain close friends. Our kids do too, but we’re not back together. We’re grown-ups.”

It is not the first time the former couple have holidayed together since they separated, as they enjoyed a trip to LA with friends including Richard Bacon in January.

The couple announced that their divorce was going through earlier that month, which brought their six year marriage to an end.

Reports claimed that the pair decided to go their separate ways because while Danielle wanted a bigger family, the sports presenter felt he was too old to have more kids.

Addressing the reports at the time, Gary wrote on Twitter: “We remain very close and the greatest of friends,” while Danielle added: “We will remain the best of friends.”

It later emerged that the pair had been living separately for a while, when Piers Morgan revealed that Gary told him that his marriage was over last summer.

Gary also blasted claims that his family were “overjoyed” that he had divorced the Welsh underwear model and actress, branding the report “a complete fabrication” and “utter nonsense”.
