Jason Manford has revealed he's facing a cancer scare, after telling fans that he’s discovered a lump on his testicle.
The comedian took to his Facebook page late on Tuesday night to break the news that he was “worried” to have discovered the lump, and, after receiving support from his fans, he gave them an update on Wednesday, thanking them for their messages.

He wrote: “Thanks for some of your concern about my late night post about not being well. A little lump on my favourite testicle, have booked in a doctors appointment tomorrow for a check, I’m sure it’s nowt but it’s good to talk about these things.”
Jason went on to encourage his male followers to check themselves, posting a link to the NHS testicular cancer prevention page.
However, in a tweet he sent out on Thursday morning, the comedian attempted to downplay the seriousness of his doctor's visit, writing:
Jason has previously helped raised awareness of cancer, specifically the campaign of teenager Stephen Sutton, who received a posthumous mention in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list earlier this year following his death from the disease, having raised £3 million for cancer charities through his ‘Stephen’s Story’ campaign.
Speaking about Stephen back in April, Jason told The Telegraph: “He is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. To still be thinking, even on his death bed, “How could I help others?” – he is absolutely inspiring.”
