Lady Colin Campbell Speaks Out, After Car Accident Involving Her Son And Dog

She's given her fans an update, following the incident.

‘I’m A Celebrity’ favourite Lady Colin Campbell has spoken out, after a three car pile-up occurred near her home.

Over the weekend, it was reported that Lady C had been involved in a road accident, which involved two other vehicles, while driving with her son and dog.

A spokesperson for Sussex police said at the time: “4.15pm on Friday 6 May police were called to a collision involving three vehicles on the A27 Arundel Road in Clapham, near Worthing, West Sussex.

"Diversions were in place while the vehicles, which were two Audis and a Ford, were recovered and the scene was made safe. No injuries were reported.”

Lady C has now broken her silence about the incident, claiming it was “a miracle” there were no injuries.

Thanking her supporters and wishing them “lots of love”, she wrote on Twitter: “Thank you all for your messages, I am fine. It was a miracle that no one was hurt in the car accident.”

During last year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity’, Lady C’s acidic one-liners and argumentative nature meant she was never far from the action, eventually opting to walk away from the show following a furious bust-up with Duncan Bannatyne and Tony Hadley.

Despite not making it to the final, Lady C was still the biggest talking point of the series, even claiming earlier this year that she had landed her own reality show, off the back of her ‘I’m A Celebrity’ stint, which will be titled ‘The Lady In The Castle’.

‘I’m A Celebrity’ is a bit like walking into the unknown for her, as she’s previously only watched around 15 minutes of the show. She claims: “I have seen the show very briefly when Carol Thatcher was in the camp for about 10 minutes, and then when Martina Navratilova was in it for about five minutes. I don’t have the time to look at much television.” (credit:Rex Shutterstock)

Though she’s best known for her biographies Lady Colin Campbell also penned a novel, ‘Empress Bianca’, in 2005. Unfortunately, it was pulled from shelves pretty sharpish, after Brazilian socialite Lily Safra complained it was clearly based on her. (credit:Rex Shutterstock)

Despite rubbing shoulders with aristocracy over the past four decades, Lady Colin clearly doesn’t have a bad word to say about the Z-list celebrities who dominate the headlines today, telling the Daily Mail: “My dear, we might look at the people who are being written about now and say 'What have they accomplished?', but 20 or 30 years ago people were being written about and they hadn't accomplished anything either, except being born into the right background.” (credit:Ian Gavan via Getty Images)
