The ‘Star Wars’ saga is seeing a whole slew of its iconic faces returning for the upcoming seventh instalment ‘The Force Awakens’, with Chewbacca, R2-D2 and even Harrison Ford reviving his role as Han Solo.

However, in a bit of devastating news for fans of iconic futuristic hairstyles, Carrie Fisher has revealed that while she will be back to play Princess Leia, her iconic buns hairstyle will not.

Speaking at the ‘Star Wars Celebration’ in California on Thursday, Carrie was quizzed about the memorable hairstyle, which became synonymous with her character over the course of the original trilogy.

Luckily, although she’s ditched the buns, it sounds like the character will have another memorable hairstyle instead, though Carrie is keeping it under her hat (see what we did there?) for now.

During the event, the first full trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was also unveiled, which saw Harrison Ford playing Han Solo for the first time since ‘Return of the Jedi’ in 1983.

So far, little is still known about the film’s plot, although according to some reports, it could be curtains for one “major character”.
