Adele Hints At New Album: 'I Can't Write Another Break-Up Record'

'Madly In Love' Adele Hints At New Album

Formerly broken-hearted Adele is hoping her new romance doesn't put a damper on her music-making magic because she has only struck Grammy gold with break-up ballads.

The soul singer, who scooped six Grammy Awards on Sunday, turned to songwriting after her split from her longtime partner and the emotions that followed gave birth to chart-topping hits such as Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You.

However, Adele has finally found love again with charity boss Simon Konecki and she is praying the blossoming relationship will inspire enough material for a third album.

During an interview with US news show 60 Minutes, which aired in America on the night of the Grammys, she said: "I'm madly in love so I don't want to be like, 'Babe I'm sorry we've got to break up, I've got a new album to deliver.'"

The 23 year old also made it clear she is gearing up to release a record with a much happier undertone, adding: "I can't write another break-up record, that would be a real cliche. It would just be like a boring running theme. People would be like, 'I've had enough, now cheer up.'"
