Coronation Street's Alison King Films Final Scenes As Carla Connor

'Weatherfield won't be the same without her.'

‘Coronation Street’ actress Alison King has revealed she’s filmed her final scenes as Carla Connor.

After 10 years in the ‘Corrie’ role, her co-stars revealed on Twitter on Thursday that it was her final day on set, with Ryan Thomas - who announced last year he was also stepping down from his role as Jason Grimshaw - among the first to wish her luck as she bids farewell to the cobbles.

Sharing a photo of the two of them on Instagram, he wrote: “My bestie Ali King leaves today, a new start a new beginning wishing all the luck in the world and 3 weeks time I'll be joining her.”

Similarly, Antony Cotton expressed his sadness at waving off one of his colleagues, tweeting: “Weatherfield won't be the same without her. I am bereft.”

Alison’s ‘Corrie’ departure has been a long time coming, as she first announced she was leaving the ITV soap just under a year ago.

Alison’s ‘Corrie’ departure is to air later this year, with this summer’s shocking storylines revolving around other members of the Underworld factory.
