Just as 'Family Guy' fans were getting over the death of Brian Griffin, the pet pooch has been brought back to life back in the Christmas special thanks to Stewie and a rather handy time machine (what else?)

In a message posted on Twitter, show creator Seth MacFarlane said fans would 'have to be high' if they thought they were going to kill off the much-loved character for good.

But it isn't the first time a TV character has been brought back from the dead…

'Presumed' being the key word in that sentence because she later returned to Home Farm and managed to kill off her hubby Frank in the process when he keeled over with a heart attack at the sight of her.
