The 2016 'Celebrity Big Brother' eye

It seems the theme of next year’s run will be based around theatrics and performance, with the famous house undergoing a glamorous and opulent makeover, with echoes the vaudeville theatres of a bygone era.

The garden has been transformed into a Whitechapel style foggy street scene with a Victorian pub snug which will provide a hidden corner for the new housemates to sharing secrets and backstage backstabbing.

A ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ spokesperson said: “Big Brother may have set the scene of a decadent, antiquated world, but behind the performance there are hints at a grittier undertone…what lurks in the shadows?

“The Housemates will discover that there will be unwelcome surprises in store.”

Emma Willis will be back on hosting duties

As ever, Emma Willis will return to host the live shows, welcoming a cast of new recruits into the house, as well as being present at their final curtain calls.

Rylan Clark-Neal will also be on hand to dissect all the hot topics, reveal exclusives and go behind the scenes of the main show on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side’, airing weeknights on Channel 5.

A launch date for the new series is expected to be announced in the next few weeks.
