Over the weekend, Michael reportedly celebrated six months of being sober following his participation in a rehab programme, according to the Sunday People.

A friend of the actor reportedly told the paper that Michael’s new relationship was key in his happiness.

"They've come through so much together and are ready to start an exciting new time in their lives.”

At present, the residents of 'Coronation Street' are currently still reeling from the shock murder of Tina McIntyre.

Peter Barlow is currently under arrest on suspicion of murder, while the real killer is busy planning his wedding to Tracy.
