I'm A Celebrity's Victoria Derbyshire Recalls 'Excruciating' (And Very Rude) Jeremy Hunt Slip-Up

The I'm A Celebrity star said she "buried her head in her hands" after the infamous gaffe.

Victoria Derbyshire has recalled the “excruciating” moment she got former foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt’s name wrong live on air.

And you can guess exactly what she called him.

Last year, while hosting her BBC current affairs show, Victoria suffered a slip of the tongue and accidentally dropped the c-bomb while attempting to refer to Hunt.

I’m so sorry, Jeremy Hunt,” the broadcaster immediately clarified, adding: “I’ve never said that before in my life. It’s usually men who say that, so I really, really want to apologise. I’m sorry.”

During a discussion with her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! campmates in Thursday night’s highlights episode, Victoria detailed the experience while the stars shared their tales of “worst days” on the job.

“I mispronounced his name,” Victoria said. “It was excruciating, it was awful, I buried my head in my hands.”

Fellow contestant Giovanna Fletcher later said: “It’s quite comforting knowing whoever you are or whatever you do, we all have those days where it’s just not going your way.”

During the same conversation, Radio 1 presenter Jordan North shared the time he brought up Yungblud’s former relationship with Halsey during an interview, despite being specifically instructed not to.

Meanwhile, Sir Mo Farah discussed the moment he fell over during an international championship, only to pick himself up and start running in the wrong direction.

Had Beverley Callard been involved, we’re guessing she’d recall the moment she accidentally insulted one of campmate Vernon Kay’s past TV gigs to his face. Y’know, that thing that happened a few days ago.

I’m A Celebrity airs nightly at 9pm on ITV. Watch the full conversation in the video below:
