Kim Kardashian Addresses Why Family Wasn't Present For Caitlyn Jenner's I'm A Celebrity Exit

The reality star has insisted she didn't deliberately snub Caitlyn when she left the jungle.

Kim Kardashian has set the record straight about why she and her siblings weren’t there to greet Caitlyn Jenner when she left the I’m A Celebrity jungle last week.

When Caitlyn was eliminated from I’m A Celebrity on Friday night, many people picked up on the fact that none of her famous children or step-children had flown out to Australia to meet her (despite, let’s be honest, none of them being particularly camera shy).

After the Kardashian and Jenner families both faced criticism for their absence, Caitlyn’s son Brandon insisted to a fan on Instagram that it wasn’t a deliberate snub.

Honestly, nobody reached out to set it up,” he wrote. “I think it might have been a ‘storyline’ the producers wanted to fabricate in order to get more empathy for Caitlyn. That’s how that kind of TV works.”

Upon seeing this, Kim also spoke out, tweeting: “Exactly what Brandon said!!!! NO ONE from I’m A Celeb even reached out and asked for letters, appearances or anything from any Kardashians or Jenners.”

HuffPost UK has contacted representatives for I’m A Celebrity for comment.

Although she didn’t appear on the show, Caitlyn was joined in Australia with her rumoured girlfriend Sophia Hutchins.

Caitlyn frequently used to appear alongside Kim in the reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, when she was still married to her mother, Kris Jenner.

Kim went on to appear in Caitlyn’s spin-off reality show I Am Cait, which ran for two series, shortly after the former Olympian came out as transgender.

Brandon – Caitlyn’s son from her previous marriage to actress Linda Thompson – also appeared in the reality show The Princes Of Malibu, alongside his mother, brother, Brody, and their close friend Spencer Pratt.

Over the weekend, viewers crowned soap actress Jacqueline Jossa as the new Queen of the Jungle, succeeding football star Harry Redknapp on the jungle throne.
