At the age of 64 former model Grace Jones added a pole to her props, as she humped and gyrated her way through a one hour, 15-minute slot at Lovebox. The mostly out-and-proud gay crowd roared as the Jamaican-born singer appeared, towering above them on a black crane wearing a sliver cape. After whipping it off to reveal a theatrical long black coat, Jones continued to change outfits between every song.We particularly liked he Lion King-inspired mask and mane that she donned for a rendition of 'My Jamaican Guy', which included a lot of leg draping and thrusting against the stage. The crowd went wild as The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne arrived on stage in a giant transparent ball. He traversed on top of them in his balloon, before rolling back onto the stage and getting on with the show. (credit:PA)

Groove Armada began Lovebox as a resident club night at London venue 93 Feet East in 2002 to mark the release of their album by the same name. In 2003, to celebrate the first anniversary of the night, the pair hosted the first outdoor Lovebox event on Clapham Common with a capacity of 10,000. In 2005 the festival moved to Victoria Park and the capacity has gone on to reach over 50,000. (credit:Getty Images)
