Vanity Fair's Hollywood Issue Is A Brit Bonanza!

It just wouldn’t be award season without Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue hitting newsstands and this year’s sees the cream of British acting talent lining up with some of Hollywood’s biggest names for the iconic photoshoot.

In what has been a huge year for us Brits on the big screen (and in the awards' lists), half of the cover is devoted to the biggest homegrown screen stars of the last twelve months.

Best Actor nominees Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne pose with 'Selma' star David Oyelowo and look suitably debonair in their finest tuxes ahead of this year’s Oscars.

And flying the flag for the ladies are Felicity Jones, who is nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role in ‘The Theory Of Everything’, and Sienna Miller, who appears in not one, but two Oscar-nominated Best Picture movies (that’ll be ‘American Sniper’ and ‘Foxcatcher’).

Also featured are US stars Channing Tatum, who is pictured holding an uber-glam Amy Adams on his oh-so broad shoulders and Reese Witherspoon.

Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz was again behind the camera on the shoot, which she described as ‘hair-raising’.

Annie has photographed all but three of the Hollywood Issue covers since the first edition debuted in 1995.

“Usually you shoot from fairly far away, but we wanted to get really close to the actors,” Annie explained. “We made an effort to create a feeling of intimacy. I pushed into them, shooting to the left and then the right, coming in as tight as I could.”

The cover line-up, in full:

  • Channing Tatum, star of ‘Foxcatcher’, which received five Oscar nominations including best director.
  • Amy Adams, four-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner for ‘Big Eyes’.
  • Reese Witherspoon, who is Oscar-nominated alongside her ‘Wild’ co-star Laura Dern.
  • Eddie Redmayne, a best-actor nominee for his performance as Stephen Hawking in ‘The Theory of Everything’.
  • Felicity Jones, a best-actress nominee for her performance as Jane Hawking in ‘The Theory of Everything’.
  • David Oyelowo, star of best-picture nominee ‘Selma’.
  • Benedict Cumberbatch, a best-actor nominee for his performance as Alan Turing in ‘The Imitation Game’.
  • Sienna Miller, star of best-picture nominee ‘American Sniper’ as well as ‘Foxcatcher’.
  • Miles Teller, star of best-picture nominee ‘Whiplash’.
  • Oscar Isaac, star of National Board of Review winner ‘A Most Violent Year’.

Vanity Fair's Hollywood issue is on sale from Friday 6 February.
