'X Factor' 2016: First Look At Auditions Proves This Series Is Going To Be All About Nicole Scherzinger

And we couldn't be any happier about it.

While laughs were a bit thin on the ground during last year's turbulent series of 'The X Factor', we're pleased to report it looks like the fun factor is well and truly back for the new run.

Bosses have teased the return of the ITV talent show with a first-look clip at the auditions, and it seems returning judge Nicole Scherzinger will be helping to lighten the mood. And then some.

In a clip that aired during during the half-time ad break of the England vs Iceland football match on Monday (27 June), the former Pussycat Doll could been seen up to her old tricks as one auditionee turned the judging room into a rave.

Beck Martin was seen trying out his luck for Nicole and fellow judges Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell, with his own dance track 'Friday Night'.

And while the panel seemed initially sceptical - especially as he came along with his own fog machine in tow - it wasn't long before Dermot O'Leary was bouncing around the holding room with the rest of the production team, while Nicole was up on the desk slut dropping and screaming "YAAAASS!" at the top of her lungs.

Even Louis managed to bust out a few moves too.

It's all change on this year's series of 'The X Factor', following the departure of last year's judges Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw, and hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs

It has also been announced that Matt Edmonson will take over from Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom, fronting ITV2 spin-off show 'The Xtra Factor'.

'The X Factor' returns to ITV this autumn.
