Caprice Quits Dancing On Ice After Show ‘Affects Mental Wellbeing’

The model returned to the ITV skating show last week after parting ways with her original dance partner.

Caprice has quit Dancing On Ice just a week after she returned to the show with a different dance partner.

The model and businesswoman was paired up with Oscar Peter a week after she parted ways with her original dance partner Hamish Gaman.

But now it has been confirmed that Caprice has left the show for good to “recover and look after herself and her family”.

A statement issued by her publicist, said: “It’s true that Caprice is no longer participating in Dancing On Ice. It’s been a hard few months and she’s had to keep silent for contractual reasons.

“Her mental wellbeing has been affected over the last two months and recent stories leaked to the press are not only salacious but extremely hurtful.

Now she’s taking some time to recover and look after herself and her family.”

Earlier this week, Hamish addressed their split for the first time with a post on social media.

In a message on Instagram, he wrote: “Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your kind messages. I’ve been overwhelmed by your love and support — it’s brought me to tears at times.”

“Honestly, I’m not okay, but I’d like to thank Amelia, my pro family and ITV for doing all that they can to support me. I’m comforted knowing the truth always comes out in the end and I hope we can focus on the skating again now.”

The reason for their split is still not known.

A statement from ITV said: “Caprice will not be taking any further part in the series.”

Last week, Radzi Chinyanganya was eliminated from the competition after losing out in the skate-off to Caprice.

Dancing On Ice airs on ITV tonight at 6pm
