Holly Willoughby said a temporary goodbye to ‘This Morning’ on Thursday, co-presenting her final show with Phillip Schofield before heading off on maternity leave.

The TV presenter, who is currently expecting her third child with husband Dan Baldwin, was moved to tears after being presented with a special 'Good Luck Holly' cake and a bouquet of flowers in honour of her last show, by her replacement, Amanda Holden.

After finishing filming for the day, Holly took to her Twitter to thank fans for their support, writing:

It was announced earlier this year after much speculation that Amanda and Christine Bleakley will both be filling in for Holly while she goes on maternity leave, after it was previously rumoured that ‘Big Brother’ host Emma Willis was up for the job.

Holly had previously said that she would be working as long as she possibly could before going on maternity leave, telling ‘This Morning’ viewers back in July: “There's a huge possibility that I could go into labour in September on screen - that's always a possibility.”

Holly announced her third pregnancy in a blog-post entitled ‘Surprise, Surprise’ back in March. She and her husband, who she married in 2007, already have a son and a daughter.
